Japan-focused renewables platform Nozomi Energy, established by Actis in May 2023, has acquired 12 operational solar projects totaling 312 MW in Japan. These plants, ranging from 1 MW to over 60 MW and located across Kanto, Tohoku, Chubu, and Kyushu, boost the platform’s portfolio to 750 MW, including over 400 MW of operational capacity. All commissioned within the last two years, the projects operate under FIT contracts lasting until at least 2040, ensuring stable cash flows. Nozomi Energy also assumes asset management and operational responsibilities for these projects. Nozomi Energy is progressing toward its 1.1 GW renewables and BESS target by 2027.
