Researchers at Pusan National University enhanced signal amplification in CsPbBr3 perovskite nanosheets, proposing a novel gain analysis called “gain contour.” They utilized a patterned waveguide to boost gain and thermal stability, addressing limitations of CsPbBr3 quantum dots. The findings open avenues for lasers, sensors, and solar cells, impacting industries like encryption and neuromorphic computing. Improved optical confinement and heat dissipation make perovskite nanosheets promising for diverse applications, though challenges remain in stability, scalability, and toxicity.
