UK-based NextEnergy Capital’s NextPower V ESG fund recently acquired a 50 MW solar portfolio in Poland from Grenevia, marking its third investment in just three months. This follows a 100 MW solar project in the US and a 66 MW CfD portfolio in Europe. Over the past six months, the fund has expanded significantly, now managing 116 MW of operational solar assets and 100 MW under construction, with an additional 400 MW anticipated. Since its inception, the fund has secured $745 million in total commitments, including $150 million in co-investments from global investors. It is on track to exceed its target IRR, with its first operational asset expected to yield dividends in late 2024.
