Brimfield School District (CUSD 309) in Illinois has partnered with Nexamp for a community solar program to reduce electricity costs and integrate PV energy into Ameren’s grid. Under a 20-year contract, the district expects annual savings of over USD 22,000 across the two campuses. Jubilee Solar, situated near the high school baseball field, features 5,500 solar panels generating 3 MW of power. Brimfield CUSD 309 secured a 23% share of the project, with the remainder available to local residents through Nexamp’s program. The initiative falls under Illinois Shines Public Schools, enabling schools statewide to host community solar, fostering savings for both schools and communities. Nexamp retains ownership and operation of the facility throughout the contract.
