MYTILINEOS and KARATZIS sign 210 MW solar PPA

MYTILINEOS Energy & Metals and KARATZIS SA in Greece have entered into a 210 MW long-term PPA for the energy generated by a 262 MW solar portfolio. This agreement allows MYTILINEOS to access 80% of the green energy produced. The portfolio comprises 35 solar projects in Larissa prefecture, with a total budget of USD 180 million, developed by KARATZIS. Anticipated to be operational by the third quarter of 2024, these solar farms are projected to generate 380 GWh annually, equivalent to the energy consumption of 97,000 households in Greece and expected to reduce approximately 162,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.
