US-headquartered mPower Technology has been chosen by Airbus Netherlands to supply Solar Power Modules (SPMs) for over 200 Sparkwing solar arrays as part of the MDA AURORA satellite program, which will commence in 2025. The SPMs will be manufactured using mPower’s proprietary DragonSCALES technology, which will deliver more than 1.1 MW of power to support the satellite constellation’s communication network expansion globally. The modules will be produced by mPower’s partner Universal Instruments Corporation’s high-volume production line in New York, which has a current annual capacity of 1.5 MW with potential to expand. This partnership enables mPower to support more than $500 million in customer projects.
