Microsoft will purchase all energy and credits to achieve its carbon-negative goal by 2030, significantly boosting Louisiana’s renewable capacity. Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group coordinated the financing. With Primoris Renewables Energy as its EPC partner, Bayou Galion Solar project is through construction since December 2023, and is expected to be operational by fall 2024.
