Meyer Burger has commenced production at its new solar module plant in Goodyear, Arizona, successfully passing the UL testing standards audit without any deviations. The company is nearing completion of a strategic commercial agreement with a leading US industry player to produce solar modules increasingly using domestic components. Additionally, Meyer Burger has signed a three-year offtake agreement with a major US energy company for up to 600 megawatts per year of solar modules, starting in January 2026. To support its US solar production expansion, Meyer Burger is negotiating loan agreements after due diligence by a major US bank and anticipates securing export financing from a German bank.
