Masdar powers Africa’s future with $10 billion clean energy investment

At COP28, Masdar commits $2 billion in equity by 2030 for the Africa Green Investment Finance Initiative, targeting $10 billion investments to deliver 10GW clean energy across six Sub-Saharan nations. The announcements include 150 MW solar projects each in Angola and Uganda, a 500MW initiative in the Republic of Congo, geothermal collaboration in Kenya, a potential 1GW in Mozambique, and a mining decarbonization partnership in Zambia.
