Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar, has signed agreements with the Philippines to develop up to 1GW of renewable energy projects by 2030. The projects, including solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems, support the Philippines' renewable energy targets of 35% by 2030 and 50% by 2040. The signing, held during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025, was witnessed by UAE and Philippine officials. This partnership follows a 2024 agreement on energy transition cooperation and strengthens Masdar's renewable energy portfolio in Southeast Asia.
