Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar, a leader in the UAE's clean energy sector, finalized a significant deal with GEK TERNA SA and other shareholders of TERNA ENERGY SA on the Athens Stock Exchange. Masdar will initially acquire 67% of TERNA ENERGY shares, valuing the equity at €2.4 billion and the enterprise at €3.2 billion, at €20.00 per share. According to the company, Masdar plans an all-cash mandatory tender offer for the remaining shares, aiming for full ownership. This acquisition will enhance renewable energy capacity in Greece and the EU, supporting the EU's net-zero emissions goal by 2050 and helping Masdar achieve its 100 GW global capacity target by 2030.
