Wood Mackenzie, a UK-based energy research firm, has released its 2026 global PV tracker manufacturer ranking. The ranking has been based on first-half 2025 shipment and performance data, according to Wood Mackenzie. The assessment placed US-based NextPower first, followed by China-based Trina Tracker and US-based Array. The analysis evaluated 24 PV tracker manufacturers operating across five countries using a weighted scorecard. According to the report, the methodology covered eight criteria assessing manufacturing, service quality, and supply chain performance. Environmental, social, and governance compliance and aftersales service together accounted for 45% of the total score. The study showed that 99% of global PV tracker shipments originated from Grade A manufacturers. Grade A classification was assigned to suppliers meeting at least five benchmark performance requirements. The report noted regionalised assembly diversification and continued investment in AI-enabled control systems and high-strength materials.
