India-based PV manufacturer, Waaree Energies held a 17.3% share of India’s solar module shipments in Q1 2025, according to JMK Research. Domestic manufacturers accounted for 89.9% of total shipments, with Waaree among the 25 key suppliers evaluated. Its export shipments more than doubled compared to the previous quarter, reaching over 25 countries. India added 5.93 GW of utility-scale solar capacity and 1.34 GW of rooftop systems in the same quarter. This marked a 12.2% quarter-on-quarter increase in utility-scale additions, raising India’s cumulative installed solar capacity to 105.6 GW by March 2025.
