Verdant Energy announced the closing of an acquisition of an 11 MW rooftop solar portfolio in Vietnam. The portfolio included 10 shopping malls supplying power to Central Retail’s operations. The assets were expected to generate 11,700 MWh annually and avoid 8,100 tons of CO₂ emissions each year. The acquisition expanded Verdant Energy’s existing assets in Vietnam and involved collaboration with Norsk Renewables, Norfund, and Finnfund. It broadened the company’s customer base and extended operations from the industrial sector to the commercial sector.
