Velto Renewables has completed the full acquisition of Les Îlots Blandin in France. The company has earlier held a 50 percent stake and is now the sole owner. The floating solar plant is located in Perthes, Upper Marne, and was built on a former industrial zone. The facility has a capacity of 74.3 MW and covers over 127 hectares. It uses more than 135 000 photovoltaic panels across the site. The plant has generated electricity equal to the annual demand of about 37 000 people. It has also avoided more than 18 000 tons of CO₂ each year. Velto Renewables has taken responsibility for long-term operations after the acquisition. The asset was part of a broader portfolio that Q ENERGY transferred. Both companies were already linked through a long-term partnership established last spring.
