France-based VALOREM Group and Caisse d’Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes have secured €15.7 million (~$ 18.29 million) to fund two solar parks—Poucharramet (14.4MW) in Haute-Garonne and Barbarade (3.3MW) in Puy-de-Dôme. Construction is planned to start in September 2025, with operations expected by spring 2026. Together, the plants will generate 24.2GWh of electricity annually, supplying power to approximately 5,680 households. The Poucharramet project combines agrivoltaics and sheep farming on land left fallow for 30 years. The Barbarade extension converts a former landfill originally developed with Michelin in 2019. The financing package includes €13.8 million (~$ 16.07 million) in senior financing and €3.2 million in ancillary facilities. Both projects were developed by VALOREM’s Carcassonne agency and will be supported by public crowdfunding via MonParcVALOREM.com.
