UGE International, a New York-based developer of community and commercial solar projects, has acquired 122 ground-mounted solar projects from bankrupt OYA Renewables. The acquired portfolio includes 60 MW DC of late-stage community solar projects in New York, which have existing utility interconnection agreements in place. UGE International has stated it is advancing these New York projects toward Notice to Proceed milestones, most of which are expected within 12 months. The remaining 2.35 GW of early-stage projects are located across 14 US states and include utility-scale and distributed generation solar assets. UGE International is reviewing the broader portfolio’s feasibility and has planned to retain smaller projects while exploring co-development or sale of larger ones. NOVA Infrastructure Fund II acquired a majority stake in UGE International in August 2024, which has supported expansion through acquisitions and in-house development.
