Trinasolar, a China-based manufacturer of PV modules, has recently supplied 100MW of Vertex modules for a 500MW solar plant in Jinta, Gansu Province. The project is located in China’s Gobi Desert and is now operational, generating 736.5millionkWh of electricity annually. According to Trinasolar, the portfolio receives around 3,200 hours of sunlight annually and has reduced over 800,000tons of CO₂ emissions every year. The facility has helped with land restoration efforts by decreasing surface temperatures, evaporation, and erosion. The Vertex modules, based on 210mm wafer technology, have remained reliable during sandstorms and droughts. Trinasolar has also supplied Vertex N 720W modules to a 67.5MW agrivoltaics project in Guizhou and provided 210MW to a 1GW solar-storage project currently under construction.
