China-based Trinasolar, a smart PV and energy storage solutions provider, has provided Vertex Dual-Glass Bifacial modules and Vanguard 1P tracking systems for the 22 MW Valcasado Solar Park in Huelva, Spain. The project was developed by Green Tie Capital and built by Elmya EPC. It includes 33,600 bifacial modules and 580 trackers. The system is now connected to Spain’s national grid. It supplies energy to San Juan del Puerto. The site’s uneven terrain, with slopes of 15% north-south and 10% east-west, required adaptable tracking systems. The Vanguard 1P trackers, compatible with modules up to 670W+, improved torsional resistance by 29.6%, bending resistance by 12.4%, and wind resistance by 20%. The SuperTrack system increased energy generation by 3-8%. The Vertex Dual-Glass Bifacial modules contributed to lowering energy costs and ensuring long-term reliability, which were key to the project's success. Trinasolar’s onsite support helped streamline installation and reduce costs.
