India-based TP Solar Limited has signed a INR 455 crore (~$52.5 million) contract with Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MSPGCL). The deal is to supply 300 MW ALMM-certified solar modules for the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0 project. This 300 MW shipment is part of a recently finalized 750 MW MSPGCL tender and is expected to be delivered across Maharashtra by 2025. TP Solar, the subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd., operates a 4.3 GW PV cell and module manufacturing facility with both TOPCon and Mono PERC technologies. Tata Power has invested around INR 4,300 crore (~$496.7 million) in this Tamil Nadu facility to support domestic manufacturing and self-reliance in the solar value chain.
