Tibra Pacific, a Bosnia-based solar developer, has completed the 64 MW Stolac Solami Park, now the country’s largest operational ground-mounted PV plant. The facility is also Europe’s first utility-scale solar project to use n-Type ABC (All Back Contact) technology. AIKO, a China-based manufacturer of high-efficiency solar modules, supplied its Stellar 1N+ ABC modules for the plant. During initial deployment, these modules delivered 12% higher energy yield and 3% lower electricity costs compared to TOPCon modules. This led to their exclusive use in the project’s second phase, as per Tibra Pacific. The plant uses fixed-tilt mounting and an optimized layout to enhance land use. A 30-year simulation projected 2,564.35 GWh of total generation, a 1.54% gain over TOPCon, with a 16-year and 4-month payback period.
