Terrasmart, a US-based solar racking and installation company, partnered with ESA to complete a 3MW solar canopy system at AdventHealth’s Altamonte Springs campus in Florida. The project features 7,500 solar panels installed across rooftops, parking garages, walkways, and surface canopies, supplying nearly one-third of the facility’s electricity needs. It includes 62 electric vehicle charging ports and provides shaded parking for staff and visitors. The system is expected to generate 4,200MWh annually, offset 2,900 tons of CO₂ emissions, and save AdventHealth over $4.6million in energy costs over its lifetime. Terrasmart developed three custom racking solutions to accommodate the site’s mixed-use layout and limited access. Construction was delayed due to Hurricanes Milton and Helene but was completed on a revised schedule in coordination with Duke Energy and local authorities.
