Terrapinn, a London-based organizer of international exhibitions, has announced Solar & Storage Live Italia 2025's inaugural edition in Verona. The exhibition is scheduled on October 8 & 9 at Veronafiere and likely to welcome 3,000 visitors, 100 exhibitors, 150 speakers, 30 start-ups, and more than 20 strategic partners. Italy ranked sixth in Europe for solar additions, adding 1.6 GW in 2022, taking total installed capacity to 24.2 GW. Italia Solare, ANIE Rinnovabili, and Elettricità Futura have reported that Italy needs to install 85 GW of renewables by 2030 with €309 billion (~ $361 billion) investments. Within this target, about 58 GW is expected to be PV, complemented by 80 GWh of large-scale energy storage to stabilize supply. In the near term, Italy is expected to install 39 GW of renewable capacity by 2026, of which 27 GW will be from solar projects. The increase is expected to average 5 GW of fresh annual solar installations from 2022 to 2026.
