SunPower, a solar technology and installation company headquartered in Orem, Utah, has agreed to acquire Sunder Energy of South Jordan, Utah, for $40 million in cash and 10 million shares. The acquisition was funded through a private offering of convertible debentures managed by Cantor Fitzgerald. Sunder forecasted $74 million revenue in 2025 from 46 MW solar sales contracts, with downstream EPC firms expected to add $173 million. SunPower estimated the portfolio could generate up to $247 million compared with its projected $300 million revenue for 2025. The deal is expected to add $74 million in sales revenue from Q4 2025 and $86.5 million EPC revenue over 12 months. SunPower stated the acquisition expands operations from 22 to 45 states and doubles its independent salesforce.
