Sungrow, a China-based PV inverter and energy storage provider, has presented its latest portfolio at Intersolar South America 2025 in São Paulo. Sungrow has launched the modular 1+X 2.0 inverter, scalable from 800 kW to 9.6 MW, alongside the S2500S-L 2.5 kW microinverter, MGRL hybrid line, and SG50CX-P2-LV string inverter tailored for Brazil’s residential and C&I segments. A rapid shutdown solution was introduced to meet Brazil’s ABNT NBR 17193:2025 rule, requiring rooftop systems to cut DC voltage below 35 V within 30 seconds. The system integrates SR20D-M shutdown devices, SR200T-BX controllers, and inverters, supported by patented Fault Heat Control technology keeping device temperatures under 120°C, with IP68/IP65 protection for 25 years of operation. Sungrow has also unveiled the PowerTitan 2.0 liquid-cooled ESS, and has presented the PowerStack 255CS ESS for C&I markets. Sungrow has also reported 25 GW of inverter orders and 10 GWh of storage contracts across Latin America. Earlier this year, Brazil ONS has certified Sungrow inverter models for grid compliance.
