Sungrow, a China-based solar inverter manufacturer, has partnered with Zonzo Duurzame Energie to complete a photovoltaic project for Dutch tulip brand Ronico. The project was developed at the Elbaweg site in the Netherlands and has deployed 48 Sungrow SG33CX string inverters with 5,000 solar panels. Ronico was reported to consume nearly 6.7 GWh of electricity annually, and the system is expected to generate around 1.7 GWh each year. The installation was designed to reduce external electricity reliance, particularly during summer months when greenhouse cooling loads are considerably higher. Each SG33CX inverter is equipped with three maximum power point trackers supporting six strings, which has allowed improved yield optimization for the project. The inverters are also integrated with Type 1 and Type 2 surge protection, arc fault detection, and rapid shutdown to enhance system safety.
