S&P Global, a providers of financial analytics, has released data showing that the global solar tracker market shipped 112 GW in 2024, a 19% rise from 94 GW in 2023. As per S&P, Growth was driven by India and Saudi Arabia, while other regions recorded flat demand. Saudi Arabia led uptake with utility-scale projects, and India expanded through supplier collaborations with local EPC firms, geographic advantages, and low labor costs. Cleaning robots became essential in sandy terrains, with improved designs reducing water use and extending cleaning distances. One-in-portrait trackers accounted for 93% of shipments due to stability in windy conditions despite higher costs, while two-in-portrait trackers remained common in Europe under land constraints and agrivoltaic applications.
