SOLV Energy, a US-based provider of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, has acquired Spartan Infrastructure, a high-voltage transmission contractor from Mesa, Arizona. The deal expanded SOLV Energy’s transmission and distribution (T&D) capabilities across the US. Both companies partnered earlier on major solar projects in the Southwest, South Central, and Mountain West regions. Spartan’s expertisehas strengthened SOLV Energy’s ability to deliver integrated, lifecycle energy solutions. The acquisition provided Spartan with financial backing to pursue larger infrastructure projects. SOLV Energy statedthe move is part of its strategy to support US grid expansion.The acquisition of Spartan Infrastructure strengthens SOLV Energy’s position as it plans to build 6GW of solar and storage projects across the US.
