The provincial government of Dinagat Islands signed a Power Supply Agreement with Solind Technology Corporation on October 25 in San Jose. Governor Nilo P. Demerey Jr. and CEO Martine Navales represented the parties. The agreement aimed to reduce the province’s reliance on fossil fuels by generating power from wind and solar energy. Solind Technology invested about $85 million to build a 1.5 MW hybrid solar and wind facility with 5 MWh batteries. The project included a hybrid power tree to supply electricity to the People’s Hall and nearby government offices, ensuring reliable power during outages from the National Power Corporation.
