Solaris Inc., a renewable energy developer with headquarters in the Philippines, is set to grow its project portfolio by participating in the upcoming round of the Green Energy Auction Program (GEAP). The program has created financing certainty that is needed for timely project implementation, President and CEO Jose Alfonso Miras said. Solaris Inc. has announced that its offers will include solar with onboard battery storage, floating solar, and waste-to-energy ventures. Solaris Inc.is considering participation in GEAP's sixth round, where waste-to-energy will likely be part, and plans to partner with its real estate arm in Cavite for trash collection and energy conversion. Existing projects include 344 MW of solar capacity, of which 6.5 MW is running in Cavite and 58 MW is under development in Iloilo, by the year 2026.
