Solargik, an Israel-based provider of solar tracking systems, has signed 85MW of deployment contracts across various regions in Italy. According to Solargik, the projects will use its AI-driven SOMA Pro system equipped with terrain-adaptive trackers designed for sloped, constrained, and regulated land. The portfolio includes a 45MW contract with Revalue across ten sites, which is scheduled for fast-track deployment by the second half of 2025. Solargik has also secured a 20MW contract with Free Ingegneria for four steep-slope sites with gradients reaching up to 40%. In Basilicata, Solargik is delivering a 20MW agrivoltaic project using trackers with 1.3m ground clearance and 2.5m maximum height. This portfolio is designed to reduce grading and ensure compliance with land-use and environmental regulations. Italy has added 6.8GW of solar capacity in 2024, which represented a 30% year-over-year increase under tightening land development restrictions.
