US-based Terabase Energy, Automates solar construction, has raised $130 million in Series C funding, led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, bringing its total funding to over $200 million. The investment supported the expansion of Terabase’s automation and digital solutions for building large solar power plants. Terabase’s robotics-assisted solar installation system, Terafab™, had installed 40 MW and was set to deploy hundreds more by 2026. The system improved installation speed, build quality, and worker safety. The funding also helped scale Terabase’s digital tools, including PlantPredict for solar modeling and Construct for project management, which had supported over 12 GW of solar projects. With growing energy demand and improvements in battery storage, utility-scale solar became a key low-cost energy source.
