SNCF Energie, part of SNCF Voyageurs, has signed four long-term power deals with Neoen. The contracts, were running for 20 to 25 years, which cover electricity from four solar farms in France with a total capacity of 111 MW. Starting January 2026, these farms will supply 137 GWh of power each year, enough for 11,000 Paris–Bordeaux train trips. The agreements help SNCF manage electricity price changes while giving Neoensteady income. Combined with a 2024 deal, SNCF’s renewable power from such contracts will exceed 300 GWh annually, about 29% of its total renewable electricity. Together with a 2024 agreement for the Couret solar park, SNCF Voyageurs’ renewable procurement under PPAs reached more than 300 GWh per year, accounting for 29% of its total renewable electricity sourcing.
