Hongkong-headquartered Sinovoltaics has launched a Virtual PV and BESS Factory Platform on 30 September 2025 in Lausanne. The platform, built with 360° video and VR compatibility, allowed renewable energy professionals to access Tier-1 solar PV and battery storage manufacturing sites remotely. It provided direct views of production lines, quality control, due diligence processes, and labour conditions without international travel. The initiative enabled professionals to understand standards, collaborate with stakeholders and reduce travel needs. Manufacturers were able to use the platform to present factory operations, product quality and transparency to clients and investors. Sinovoltaics managed operational tasks, including virtual factory tour production and platform management. The first virtual factory tours were scheduled for public release in Q4 2025, with registrations opened for early access.
