Madrid-based Qualitas Energy, a global investment and management platform, and Mirova signed an agreement to launch Italian Renewable Platform s.r.l. The new platform planned to develop, build, and operate up to 250 MW of renewable energy projects in Italy. Mirova held the majority stake, while Qualitas Energy supported development and construction. The portfolio included 33 solar projects across eight regions, with a mix of operational, ready-to-build, and late-stage projects totaling 148 MW. Some projects were expected to be completed by December 2025. There were also plans to add about 100 MW of wind projects. The solar projects were developed through Qualitas Energy IV. GreenHorse advised Qualitas Energy on legal matters, while Mirova was advised by Watson Farley & Williams (legal), KPMG (financial and tax), Kiwa Moroni (technical), and WTW (insurance). Additionally, Qualitas Energy has raised €200 million for renewable projects across Europe recently.
