Philippines headquartered PetroGreen Energy Corporation has stated that the 40 MW Limbauan solar facility in San Pablo, Isabela, had begun exporting electricity to the Luzon grid. Phase 2 of the project, with a capacity of 33.831 MW (DC), began exporting power after the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines issued a provisional certificate to connect on December 17. The phase was energized earlier as a load facility on November 24. The plant is owned and operated by Rizal Green Energy Corporation, a joint venture between PetroGreen Energy Corporation and Taisei Corp. It is RGEC’s third operational solar asset after the Dagohoy facility in Bohol and the San Jose plant in Nueva Ecija. The Dagohoy and San Jose plants came online in July and August 2025. Separately, Limbauan Phase 1 and the 25 MW DC Bugallon solar facility in Pangasinan are awaiting NGCP clearance. Once energized, PGEC would have 263 MW of utility-scale operational renewable energy capacity.
