Origami Solar, a US-based solar frame manufacturer, has partnered with Sirius PV USA to supply steel frames for American-made solar modules. The transition to steel frames enhances module strength, reliability, and domestic content while reducing supply chain risks associated with imported aluminum frames. Origami’s US-manufactured frames eliminate tariff, duty, and impoundment concerns, ensuring a stable supply chain for solar manufacturers. The frames contribute 6.1% to domestic content for rooftop projects and 8.5% for ground-mount projects, improving Investment Tax Credit (ITC) bonus eligibility. Origami’s production facilities in Texas and Arkansas enable one-day delivery to Sirius PV’s 2 GW module factory in Brookfield, Texas. Sirius PV plans to integrate more domestic materials, increasing module content to over 16%, with a black module frame available in Q3 2025.
