A global leader of advanced solar technology solutions, Nextracker has been selected by Casa dos Ventos to supply 1.5 GW of NX Horizon-XTR and NX Horizon solar trackers for four utility-scale solar and solar-wind hybrid projects in Brazil. The projects are Babilônia Sul (117 MW), Babilônia Centro (226 MW), Seriemas (540 MW), and Rio Brilhante (680 MW), located in Bahia and Mato Grosso do Sul. Three sites have used NX Horizon-XTR trackers for hilly terrain. All projects have integrated the TrueCapture yield management system for optimized output. This is Casa dos Ventos’s first large-scale solar deployment, focused on hybrid plants to improve grid use. Brazil is expected to add 13.2 GW of solar capacity in 2025, with investments exceeding $7 billion and creating over 396,000 jobs.
