ReNew Private Limited, a Gurugram-based renewable energy company, has signed a 305 MW solar tracker supply agreement with Nextracker for a project in Anantapur, India. The deployment highlights the strategic role of advanced solar tracking systems in improving performance and integration of large renewable energy assets.ReNew accounted for 5 percent of India’s installed renewable capacity and generated 19,492 GWh of electricity in FY24, powering 5.3 million households and avoiding 16 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions. Nextracker, a California-based smart solar tracking systems provider, has deployed 130 GW of trackers globally, supporting the electricity needs of 18 million homes annually. The agreement strengthens Nextracker’s portfolio in India and extends its collaboration with ReNew.
