France-headquartered, Neoen has recently launched its largest solar plant in Portugal, comprising 272 MWp across the Rio Maior (204 MWp) and Torre Bela (68 MWp) solar farms in Azambuja. Developed within the Herdade da Torre Bela estate, the project incorporates biodiversity corridors and preserves over 6,000 cork oaksFully operational since late 2024, the site is expected to generate over 500 GWh annually, supplying electricity to approximately 110,000 homes. With this addition, Neoen now has 326 MWp in operation or under construction in Portugal and is progressing further in solar, wind, and battery storage development.
