Developed by Terra Solar Philippines Inc., The MTerra solar project in Nueva Ecija and Bulacan, has completed 54 % of its first phase. Manila Electric Co. said that 778 MW of solar capacity had been installed as of end-June & was completed in just eight months after its November 2024 groundbreaking. Meralco confirmed that the site includes BESS and a 500 kV transmission line to the Nagsaag-San Jose grid. Over 9,500 workers have been mobilized, with 7.5 million safe manhours recorded. According to Meralco, Phase 1 will be completed by early 2026 and Phase 2 by 2027, allowing MGEN to exceed its 1,500 MW renewable capacity target three years ahead of schedule. EPC partners include Energy China, POWERCHINA, MIESCOR, and Huawei.
