Ravindra Energy Limited, a renewable power developer headquartered in Karnataka, has received two Letters of Award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), a state-owned utility based in Mumbai. The awards were granted for the development of decentralized feeder-level PV portfolio totaling 120 MW AC capacity across Maharashtra. The portfolio was sanctioned under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0, which forms part of Component C of the PM-KUSUM Scheme. The scheme is focused on solarizing agricultural feeders to promote decentralized renewable generation and improve rural grid reliability. According to MSEDCL, the projects will help reduce transmission losses and ensure localized power supply to rural consumers. The 120 MW capacity is distributed across 23 substations, with a 25-year PPA to be signed with Ravindra Energy. These projects are expected to strengthen Maharashtra’s renewable energy portfolio and advance India’s 30 GW agricultural solarization target under PM-KUSUM.
