Midsummer & Eco On signed solar supply deal for Thailand

Swedesh manufacturer Midsummer signed a distribution agreement with Eco On, a Thai solar EPC company, to supply and install its lightweight solar panels in Thailand. This agreement followed Midsummer’s announcement in November to explore setting up a 200 MW solar panel manufacturing plant in the country. The agreement focuses on Midsummer’s thin film solar panels, which are suitable for commercial and industrial buildings with weak roofs. Eco On, previously known as Gold Stone Energy Thailand, has experience in rooftop, ground-mounted, and carport solar installations and works with major energy firms in Thailand. Eco On also sees potential for these panels in offshore floating solar projects, a growing sector in Southeast Asia. Midsummer’s BOLD MODEL, designed for low load bearing roofs, weighs 3 kg/m².
