Enel,a multinational power company, through Endesa, completed the sale of a 49.99% stake in EGPE Solar 2 to Masdar for €184 million (~$215.73 million), valuing the company at €368 million (~$ 431.46 million). EGPE Solar 2 included four photovoltaic plants in Spain with a combined capacity of 446 MW. The transaction followed the March 2025 agreement and reduced Enel’s consolidated net debt by €184 million in 2025. Enel retained control of EGPE Solar 2, which remained fully consolidated within the Group. The deal also included 15-year power purchase agreements under which Endesa would acquire the generated energy. It followed an earlier December 2024 partnership between Enel and Masdar involving 2 GW of solar assets in Spain and was completed after approval from the Spanish Government on foreign investments.
