Longroad Energy, a US-based renewable energy developer, headquartered in Boston, has announced the financial close and construction commencement of the 400 MW DC (300 MW AC) 1000 Mile Solar project in Yoakum County, Texas. According to Longroad Energy, a long-term offtake agreement with Meta was finalized in late 2024 to cover the facilities full output through an Environmental Attributes Purchase Agreement. Morgan Stanley Renewables has closed a tax equity financing commitment, while debt financing was led by Societe Generale and CIBC, with participation from ANZ, Barclays, and Key Bank. First Solar has supplied Series 7 American-made modules, Nextracker is providing smart trackers, and SOLV is the EPC contractor expected to employ over 400 people during peak construction. The project, scheduled for completion in 2026, will contribute more than $18 million in local tax revenue and reduce emissions significantly.
