LONGi, a PV module manufacturer HQ'd in China, has closed supply contracts for about 100 MW in Guatemala. The agreements include LONGi's Hi-MO 9 Back Contact modules, intended for utility-scale projects with steady state performance. The modules include back contact cell architecture that increases energy yield, reduces thermal losses, and creates less degradation according to LONGi. LONGi further stated the Hi-MO 9 series maintains stability of efficiency against the environment of Central America where conditions vary greatly. This represents a key extension of LONGi's footprint in the area and helps the company fill the current demand for high-efficiency modules in the market. Earlier this year, LONGi was ranked as the top-performing module brand in Australia by SolarQuotes, further affirming its global market standing.
