LONGi, a China-based manufacturer of photovoltaic modules, has completed the supply of solar modules for a 550MW project in Greece. The project, developed by PPC Renewables in Western Macedonia, is the largest single solar module supply agreement in Southern Europe. It is located on a repurposed lignite mining site and is designed to reduce carbon emissions and supply electricity to end users. PPC Renewables, the clean energy subsidiary of Athens-based Public Power Corporation, said the deal followed detailed technical discussions with LONGi. Hi-MO 7 bifacial modules from LONGi were selected for the recognition of their high efficiency and reliability in large-scale solar installations. LONGi confirmed that the module deliveries were set between Q2 2024 and Q2 2025 in alignment with project execution phases. Prior to this, LONGi had delivered modules for a 23MW rooftop solar portfolio in Vietnam developed by Solar Electric Vietnam.
