Lodestone Energy, a utility-scale solar generator based in New Zealand, has entered the retail electricity market to directly supply certified solar power. The company has partnered with Robotron New Zealand Limited, a provider of energy management systems, to build a compliant and scalable retail platform. Inghams New Zealand has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement to ensure long-term price stability and reduce operational emissions. Lodestone Energy stated that its customer base includes national brands like The Warehouse Group. The move supports its Virtual Rooftop Solar model and enables long-term supply agreements for commercial and industrial users. Lodestone Energy operates three solar farms and is building a fourth in Whitianga. Becoming a licensed retailer allows Lodestone Energy to offer a complete solar solution, combining generation, certification, and direct delivery.
