Lightsource bp has expanded into Japan with the acquisition of a 15 MW solar project in Hokkaido, increasing its global market presence from 19 to 20 countries. The company’s total solar development pipeline stands at 58 GW, with nearly 8GW in the APAC region. With established operations in Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, and South Korea, Lightsource bp aims to apply its regional expertise to Japan. The company plans to collaborate with local stakeholders to integrate this project into the country’s renewable energy framework.
