Leapting Intelligent, a China-based solar technology manufacturer specializing in intelligent PV equipment, has signed a PPA for a 105 MW project in Saudi Arabia. Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026, where ten autonomous navigation robots are planned to install more than 149,000 modules. Leapting Intelligent has stated that the robotic installation system is capable of millimeter-level precision and delivers three to five times higher efficiency than manual labor. Leapting Intelligent has confirmed that automation was designed to reduce overall project costs by more than 50% and shorten timelines by over 25%. Leapting Intelligent has explained that additional benefits include reduced dependence on heavy machinery, minimized manual handling, lower emissions, and significantly improved site safety during construction activities. Leapting Intelligent has further said that training will be provided to local partner Aloy to establish a skilled Saudi workforce for automated solar installations.
